Dave enjoys playing in the sandbox at the intersection of automotive and technology - from leading eBay's automotive business, to creating software to modernize the automotive dealership experience, to now leveraging Derive's unique technology to create a personalized vehicle ownership experience. Dave holds an MBA from Wharton and an BS from the United States Air Force Academy.

Amy Bagwell


As one of Derive’s longest-serving executives, Amy brings a wealth of experience and a steady hand to her role as Chief Financial Officer. Amy brings a strong grasp of financial reporting and economic strategy, having earned an MBA from Aspen University. She also draws on discipline and respect for hard work from years practicing Taekwondo.

Scott Barbour

VP, Sales

An avid auto enthusiast himself, Scott brings a zeal for innovation and unparalleled vehicle performance to his role as VP of Sales. Scott is responsible for all customer touch points for SCT and Bully Dog, including new business development, account management, sales development, policy enforcement, and technical support. He calls on vast experience in go-to-market strategy, negotiation, budgeting, forecasting, and people management gleaned over years at LinkedIn in a variety of sales leadership roles, as well as nine years at Korn/Ferry International.

Marco Della Torre


Marco specializes in executive engineering leadership for high-growth, category-defining product companies at the forefront of the consumer electronics industry. Marco has lead his own companies, as well as some of the largest global consumer brands, to launch and scale successful, cutting-edge products leveraging embedded systems, wireless communications, mobile applications, cloud platforms and artificial intelligence technologies. Before Derive, Marco was the engineering co-founder of Basis Science, acquired by Intel Corporation. Marco holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.


Katherine French


Katherine brings over 15 years’ experience across strategy, business development and marketing for B2C and B2B companies. Driven by curiosity, she has applied her expertise across a variety of sectors, from opening Promontory, a winery in Napa Valley, to building the corporate strategy for Belcorp in Lima, Peru. Prior to this, she was Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. in New York. Katherine received her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her BA from Williams College.

Tom Kanewske

VP, Business Development

Tom has guided Derive Systems’ B2B division since 2014 with a focus on providing fleets unmatched value through validated fuel savings, safety, and sustainability solutions. Prior to Derive, Tom served as a subject matter expert for the US Air Force and subsequently Northrop Grumman, where he managed complex international sales, security, and POLMIL relationships. Tom holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from the US Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in Public Policy specializing in international relations and negotiations from Johns Hopkins University.

Karl Weber

SVP, Enterprise Sales

Karl brings to Derive Systems over 25 years of enterprise software experience in sales and business development. Karl was most recently with Fleetmatics where as VP of Enterprise Sales, he helped take Fleetmatics through a successful IPO and eventual sale to Verizon. Karl is based in Denver and enjoys traveling with his family, golf, camping and Rockies games. Karl has a degree in Business Management from Andrews University.

Richard Welch


Richard promotes operational excellence throughout Derive through business process-improvement and managerial methods, including Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, BPM, and KPI. Drawing upon a full career’s worth of experiences, consultancy engagements, and in-house operations leadership roles, Richard keeps all of Derive’s business units in order. He holds a BS, MA, and 4 professional society certifications, expressing his commitments to life-long learning in order to contribute to organizational excellence.
